For four years, a small group of dedicated individuals—an amazingly small staff and an advisory board made up of novice and experienced authors and a variety of readers, all led by theGayEditor—fought the economy to get a niche publishing company for GLBTQ writers and readers off the ground. This was to be The Gay Publishing Company.
Sadly, in September 2011, after a final push that featured an unsuccessful crowdfunding campaign, we finally decided to change course and pursue other ventures and other dreams. That doesn’t mean we’ll never be back; but, for the time-being The Gay Publishing Company is on an extended, indefinite hiatus.
